Still hot! Monday Liam decided to try on his surfing outfit.
Mmmmm.....nothing like eating blueberries and yogurt in your birthday suit!
We lounged in the afternoon on the front porch.
Dahliani arrived Monday evening and we had a nice dinner. She leaves tomorrow after visiting a potential PhD program here at UW-Madison. It was so nice to see her and catch up.
Sunday we had two house showings, so Liam, Tahoe and I left on a little excursion (that would take us away from the premise) for about 3 hours. We went to Olbrich park and ran around for a while. Then we went across the street to Olbrich Gardens (the Botanical gardens) and explored and had a picnic lunch. Then, with still an hour and a half to go, we went to the zoo to check on the seals and the monkeys...the otter, too. It was VERY warm and we were a little heat-weary by the end of the afternoon.
Temperatures this past weekend crept close to 80 degrees! We spent Saturday in the garden, trying to get our little backyard ready for our Sunday house showing. Liam stayed busy by digging in the dirt and playing ball with Tahoe.
The other morning, as I was getting ready for work, I heard a "stomp....stomp....stomp...". I turned around to see Liam in my shoes. He (and I) thought it was hilarious. He has now been doing it every chance he gets.
So....puddles are the word of the week. Liam can often be found in his boots, stomping about in the wet and the mud. The other day when I was making dinner, Liam and Daddy went across the street to the playground to play in the puddles. Oh....so much fun! We seem to be doing a lot of laundry these days, but it is worth it.
Liam and I spent a sunny afternoon at the zoo last week. The animals were....pretty cool, but the puddles were VERY cool. Liam's favorite(s) are the seals and the monkeys.
Today I came back from running errands and Liam was inside with Gabe. I could see them through the window. Gabe told Liam that I was home, but Liam couldn't figure out where I was. Liam was searching around and finally looked out the window. Gabe took these pictures.
