The end of summer.....

Well, I started back to work this week and it definitely feels as though fall is on its way! We had such a busy summer and here are a few more pictures....some of my favorites...from the past few months. Above, Liam and I enjoy a clam dinner at Guemes.

Ah....summer.

Liam and Calvin

One of our favorite summer treats is to visit with our friends, Emma, Ethan, Calvin and little Bliss when they come up the northwest in July. We went out to see them at their cabin on Shaw Island and we played on the beach for two days straight. Liam and Calvin are like "two peas in a pod" (two very, very energetic peas!).

Log rolling...what a team!

Gabe's birthday weekend

In July, we invited some friends out to Guemes for Gabe's birthday. It was a warm, sunny weekend, so we enjoyed the beach and ate our first dungeness crab of the season....yum! Here, Stella, Sonni, Tommy and Liam work on their beach fort.

The birthday boy gets served first (along with the kids) and dives into the crab feast.

The Mast family get-together

Semi-miraculously, the entire six Mast children (plus families) were able to come together for a long weekend in August. It was so great to see everyone together at Cypress. We also have a new S.O. to add to the family (Adam, Gitta's boyfriend), who is wonderful. Annie's fiance, Sangram, was also able to come, which was such a treat. Here are some pictures from the weekend. Above, Gitta, Darcie and Lenie relax on the deck.

The Browns visit

Earlier in August, our dear friends, the Browns, came out from Colorado for a visit. We had so much fun at Guemes with them. Ruthie (6), Bella (4) and Ana Sophia (2) all ran around and Liam acted as the host....most of the time. Here are a few pictures from the week.

Just "kickin' it" at the beach...Guemes style.

Gabe acted as resident captain and took out the crew for many a boat ride. Here are the kids with my dear friend, Adriana, and Gabe driving.

We love summer!

Little hiker

Daddy got Liam his own backback and today, he and Liam took a little "hike" up the bike trail near our house.

Cousins

We spent a week with our sweet cousins, Finn and Ashton. The day before they left, we all went to the Seattle zoo. Here are a couple of pictures of our little "hams" while we took a break from animal watching.

Giggles.

Are we done yet?!

The many faces of Liam

I took these pictures last week when we went for a swim at Lake Samish. Liam took my hat and was being a clown.

The final leg

Our final leg. My trusty travel partner in LAX.

Almost home.....

Final reunion pictures....

Here are some final pictures of our Davis reunion. Jackie, Julianne, me, and Sacha with Isaac and Calvin in arms. I had a wonderful time, girls.

Emily and Liam just hanging around.

Enjoying some quiet afternoon play.

Dear, sweet Lois ("Motma") with me, Julianne.

A final beach shot...us...in action.

Malibu!

We spent our last full day together enjoying the waves and scenery of Malibu. Here, Emily, Liam and Odessa enjoy a snack in the shade.

Life at the reunion

We had three fun-filled days together at the Henry household with 7 adults and 7 kiddos. Here, Julianne threw a little summer "birthday" party for the whole gang....thanks, Jules. The cupcakes were a hit.

The girls got out for a pedicure and lunch.....nice.....drinks in the middle of the day and no kids. It was sweet to have some time just the ladies. Julianne, Sacha and Jackie.

The crazy pool! Liam tests the water which was warm and there were lots of adults to share kid-holding and impromptu swim lessons.

It was great to have Julianne's years of swim instructor expertise shine....we all benefited. Thanks!
