Birthday party- Part 2

These are a little out of order, but here are a few more photos from Liam's pumpkin day. After picking pumpkins, we headed up the valley to my parents' house, where we had snacks and hot cider, a pinata, and some soccer. Then, most of our friends, headed home and we shared a nice family dinner with presents and carrot cake. Here, Liam enjoys cake with our little friend, Paul.

Pumpkin fun

Last Saturday, donned crisp and sunny - the perfect day for Liam's pumpkin party. We headed to Gordon's Pumpkin Farm (run by our friend, Eddie) and met up with a bunch of friends and family. Here, Heidi lets Silas experience a pumpkin up close and personal!

Mr. Five

Liam turned 5 last Friday and we started the celebration by opening presents and having Liam's "special breakfast". Here are a few photos from the morning, including the addition of a two-headed dragon brother to "Custard" (Liam's dragon).

Brothers

Liam turns 5 tomorrow and I am having all these memories of going into labor with him five years ago tonight. Now there are two...brothers. I had some very cute bed fellows the other morning.....here a few shots. Happy last-day-being-four, Liam!!!

Sweet Sleep

Silas fell asleep in Gabe's arms the other night while we were talking with a friend. We were so shocked because he did it without making a sound; something that our friend, Liam, never would have done. We had to take a few photos...

Then...all of a sudden, would you believe it? Sweet Liam was asleep! Wink, wink! Somehow, his is not as convincing, even though he is cute too!

Birthday party

Liam's birthday is the 15th of October, but last weekend, we had a party for Liam and his friend, Finn, who's birthday is at the end of September. We rented a gymnastics gym and the kids had a great time playing with the equipment and bouncing around. After, we had snacks and cake.

Sunny days, pickles and play dough

Liam and I made refrigerator pickles this past week. They were tasty and were ready in about 2 hours.
Liam and his future prom date (we hope!), Leah, spent a rainy afternoon together the other day and we made play dough. I think when I took this, the dinos were getting caught in the "lava".


I wanted to take a couple pictures of our late fall backyard. With a couple of sunny days and lots of rain, everything turned green and took off growing again.

Tummy Time

Here are some recent photos of Silas on his tummy. He doesn't last for too long, but is starting to be able to grasp objects and move them around. The Boppy helps, so he can stay up longer.

Silas is growing so fast! These photos are from mid-September, and already he seems so much older.

French toast is serious business. Liam works on his breakfast at Guemes. We went out for a weekend in September and, although it rained most of the time, we enjoyed a quiet family weekend.

Today, while Liam was taking a nap, Silas and I had a little flirting time together on the bed. Nothing like those first smiles.....and laughs.

New School

Liam just started his new school - the Cottage School - and is having a great first week. Here are a few pictures from this morning. It is a beautiful, timber framed one-room school house.
